Week 3: Flowers

Hi Guys,

How was your week? My week has been eventful. Sometimes you have weeks where nothing goes your way and you just have to make the best out of a situation. This was one of those weeks where I just had to make the most out of a situation.

On my original list, I had planned to do clouds. Different and cool looking clouds, sounds interesting right? Wrong. After much debating I came to the conclusion that clouds was a “step down”  from fireworks. After discussing with my mentor, Melanie Fiander, I decided to do sports. I thought this was a great idea especially since my dad plays softball. Well if that went to plan the title of the blog post would be Week 3: Sports, but it’s not. The title is flowers, let me tell you what happened. My dad’s game was scheduled for Tuesday but because the grounds keeper left the sprinkles on, the game was cancelled. Yay! Not. That was okay though because the game was rescheduled to Friday. Okay then, that works for me. Until it didn’t.

Just as a back up on Wednesday I went outside and took a few, aka fifty, photos of flowers. The flower photos turned out really well to my surprised. I had originally planned to take photos of flowers when I went to England but sometimes things take a turn for the better.

These pictures were shot in manual mode again (check out my last post to learn a little bit more about manual mode) because I want to better my photography skills. I experimented a little bit this week and sort of fiddled around with the aperture and RAW photos. I changed the aperture a little bit to get more of a focus on the photos.

Enough of my rambling, I hope you enjoy this weeks photos!

See you next week!

Carissa ?
