Hi Guys,
How was your week? Mine has been quite eventful. This week I went to Portugal! I’m here with my family as a little vacation within a vacation. We came to Portugal because I want to see more of Europe. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been to England twice now and love it, but I want to see more.
One of the items on my bucket list is to see Greece, and Italy especially Rome. Ever since I was about six or seven I have loved Greek mythology, therefore, making Greece my number one destination. Rome is the capital of Italy and is near Greece. It has always seemed pretty to me and I have always wanted to visit it. Plus I have a sweet spot for cannolis, which is an Italian dessert.
Now onto this week. This week I went to Fátima Portugal which is one of the most religious cities in Portugal if not the most religious. The reason it’s so religious is that Our Lady of Fátima (Mother Mary) appeared to the people there. It was a miracle of the 21st century. Instead of going into great detail I will just give you a short synopsis.
Basically, three shepherd children were seeing and talking to her. Then they ask Our Lady of Fátima to give a miracle so others would believe and she did. She made the sun dance around in the sky, it went far away from earth and close to it. It was raining that day but she brought the sunlight out and made everyone’s clothes dry as if there was no rain at all. This all happened in 1917 makig this year the 100 year anniversary. The two children were canonized this year and are now saints.
I will have a full Portugal post going up next week and the week after I will have an England post up. So stay tuned to see those photos as there will be a lot.
Anyway enough of my rambling. I hope you enjoy this week’s pictures!
See you next week!
Carissa ?
