Hi Guys,
How was your week? I have to admit this week I was completely unmotivated. I just couldn’t think of a way to top last week. It was really hard to top last week but I think I managed it.
This week I took photos of sunsets. Pro tip, if you’re trying to take photos don’t have two little bored nine year olds come with you. They were very hard to keep busy and I ended up telling them to catch butterflies while I took the pictures. The pictures weren’t too hard to take as I took some of them in my back yard and then some on the way home. Also since the sunset doesn’t move too quickly it gave me time to adjust my settings and take the perfect picture.
Last week I mentioned something called RAW footage. In layman terms RAW footage is the photo completely unedited, it comes straight from the camera. Normally when taking a photo it is in JPEG form, which is still great and you can take good photos in JPEG, but the camera has actually edited the photo and flattened it. This makes it quite difficult to edit photos as there are already edits to it. If you want to develop your photography skills, I would definitely recommend trying to shoot in RAW mode. On every camera it’s different to find out where the setting is to change it, to RAW. If you look up your camera’s name and then how to switch to RAW an article should show up.
Now with everything there are pros and cons. The pros to RAW footage is: you can edit photos easier and get better results; and the photos are a bit clearer than in a JPEG’s. The cons to RAW footage are they are bigger files and take up more storage. (I still have about 5.6 GB of photos left to upload ?)
Enough of my rambling, I hope you enjoy this week’s photos!
See you next week!
Carissa ?
