Hi Guys,
How was your week? I was exhausted this entire week, my body didn’t get enough sleep in Peru and had no time to recover. I went to bed at 8pm Friday night because I was so tired.
I am excited/ sad to say that next week will be my last post. I am only doing 20 weeks as I need time to reflect and work on other aspects of my project. I will still post if I see something interesting or my friends and I have a photoshoot just to keep the blog alive. Another aspect of my project is to create a photobook including all 20 weeks and information about the picture and what I was feeling that week. If you are interested in possibly buying the book let me know in the comments below or in the Contact Me section on my blog.
This week are portrait pictures that I haven’t posted. In Peru I learned that I like portrait pictures and I am quite good at them. I like getting the blurry background and then the person is sharp. In Peru I took
the photo below and it looks like a green screen, even though it’s 100% real. This was one of my favorite photos taken as it looks fake but I can say that I took it. In the future I hope to take more pictures like this and of people.
Also instead of people looking directly at me I think candid photos look much better. There’s something about capturing a moment where people are laughing or talking to each other and you capture it. It’s a piece of time that would have otherwise been lost if you hadn’t caught it. For example this photo
shows the tiredness everyone felt after doing a day and a half of service. It shows everyone’s different emotions, some are looking at the camera, others staring off into space, other with their heads in the arms. I didn’t tell anyone I was taking a photo I stood away from them and got my phone out and snapped the picture. I told no one to look at me as I got their natural reactions.
The photos below are from Peru as well as photos of my little cousins. The difference is quite clear when looking at the photos. Although the photos of my little cousins are still good as well.
Anyways enough of my rambling, I hope you enjoy this week’s photos!
See you next week!
